A subsidiary of DART Sports LLC is the I-SLAM, LLC sports label. Registered in 2024, I-SLAM is a basketball label that connects several elite basketball teams in the DFW metroplex.
In the words of Azeem Qureshi, “Youth basketball in Dallas is more than just a game — it’s a movement that brings together faith, passion and the pursuit of excellence!”
In fact, this vision and our logo was inspired and designed by Azeem, with the intention of synergizing Basketball, Dallas and Islam.
Playing time is earned, not given. If you don’t show up to practice consistently, or if you’re late, your playing time will reflect that. If you are not one of the top players on the team, you won’t be playing in crunch time when the game is on the line.
One hour practice a week will not get you very far. Players are expected to be working on skills almost every day – grinding! This is the only way you will improve at the rate that other competitive players do. That means working at least 15-20 min a day on dribbling or form shooting.
Show up atleast 15 minutes before each game is required.
If a parent has a comment or suggestion for a coach, do not approach the coach for at least 24 hours after a game. Emotions usually run high after a game, especially a loss, so speaking at that moment is usually not a good idea.
Parents are expected to be respectful of refs, opposing players and the other team’s parents. Please comport yourself with dignity.
Respect for the place in which you play, and being mindful of littering.
